If there’s one thing that all of our team members have in common here at TAXIBOX, it’s this: we love to support communities in need whenever we’re given the chance. We jump at the opportunity to lend a hand if we can help people make more space in their lives, allowing them to get on with the good stuff. Recently, the perfect opportunity to do all of the above came up, at Australian Red Cross’ donation drive in Ryde, NSW.
We’re Here to Help Australians Make Space
Australian Red Cross recently partnered with the City of Ryde council, to give Ryde locals the opportunity to declutter for a good cause and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Given how generous our communities can be in times of need (good on you, Australia), Red Cross needed some space to make way for all the donations they collected.
In comes TAXIBOX. If you were in the Ryde area recently, you probably spotted our TAXIBOXES helping out as they collected donations that weekend (they’re pretty hard to miss)!
With the support of the Ryde community, Red Cross’ team were able to collect:
- Quality clothing
- Bed linen
- Homewares
- Accessories
- And more
All without anyone having to go out of their way. Since this was a drive-up donation event, locals were able to simply drive up, drop their unwanted, quality belongings to a Red Cross volunteer, who stored every donation safely inside a TAXIBOX. Easy!
…So Our Community Can Get On with the Good Stuff
Thanks to the generosity of the Ryde community, Australian Red Cross (supported by a wonderful team of volunteers) were able to fill a number of TAXIBOXES with high quality donations. These items will be distributed to Red Cross Shops across the country where they will be sold to raise funds to support the humanitarian services that Australian Red Cross provides to those who need it most.
Donating is a great way to extend the life of quality items you may no longer love or need; providing others with the opportunity to reuse and reduce what what would otherwise go into landfill unnecessarily. Turns out decluttering feels even better when it’s in support of a very worthy cause!

Have some stuff you need to declutter, but you missed out on Australian Red Cross’ donation drive? You can still donate via TAXIBOX, without any hassle. We currently have big Australian Red Cross donation boxes living in our facility*.
Whether you’re a TAXIBOX customer or not, we’re more than happy to collect your Red Cross donations for you. All you need to do is drive up and ask one of our team members for assistance, and we’ll provide you with a donation box.
